Depends on the game and the style that fits you; I've been gaming with 1-2 hour Trap mixes playing MMOs not long ago.
MMOs are particularly nice, especially when you're just doing dailies or grinding or whatever random crap. Only exception is SWTOR, I enjoy the dialogue way too much to mute the game and listen to music.
City builders are another good genre; I'll turn on Spotify radio then load me up some Cities: Skylines or Anno 2070 and its like I am in a time machine because three hours have gone by.

I used to have a special compilation for Sim City 4, with music similar to that featured in the game. Civilization V is also a good game for music listening since it's a turn based strategy, so it's relaxed, but it's a bit heavy on the cpu.
Audio Surf
MMOs are great for that, also games with competitive gameplay online as well (FPS, RTS, MOBA)
A fps game while listening to music? That's some silver level strats.
To OP: RTS, moba, or mmorpg.
Depends on what kind of music you listen to. I often listen to movie soundtracks when doing mindless rift runs in Diablo 3
i forgot to mention that my pc isnt that strong so i need something that doesnt really take much cpu so i could use the net and play
You can play building games like Prison Architect and Cities:Skylines. I find the audio cues in those type of simulator games are not that important. Of course another obvious one is pretty much any MMORPG.... I couldnt play something like a FPS without the audio though.

I suggest Rising World for PC it is a wonderful game with great developers. I strongly suggest checking it out! If you do join us at Freaks R Us for the greatest community and admins ever! I hope we see you freaks there.

another vote for Civ V
Also X3-terran conflict . Nothing better listening to heavy metal over an Epic space battle with hundreds of spaceships
