[QUOTE="VideoCardz"] There will only be a reference design, so no custom models. Additionally, in the first batch there may only be ASUS and EVGA cards available, thats why we didnt see any other listings.

Source Its exactly like the 690, reference only, no customs.

Yes for initial launch... Certain AIBs are already working on custom cards with no release date set.

Also, Nvidia doesn't have a set number of cards they are planning on making.
They will continuously trickle out supply to AIBs over the course of the next ~6months.

That's not very custom... Every article I've seen says there will only be 10,000.

EDIT: That looks like a reference 680.

It would be nice if there were more than 10,000 made in total.  I'd like to see the price drop into the $600-700 range within the next 6 months too.  That won't happen if the supply is as low as it's being reported.

It's going to be interesting to see how much it costs here in the UK.

If it's £700 or less I might get one, but I'm thinking it will be closer to £900.

so this is the REAL mega card that nvidia should have and didnt release months ago, and cheated alot of people with the 680 lol.  As soon as AMD took over the single card crown, they decided to launch a new card in the 600 lineup.  I bet we will finally see a price drop across all of nvidias cards from the 680 on down.

I would to get one of these cards, but I could never justify spending the money for it. I wonder if the price will ever go down by a large enough margin for me to consider it. I wouldn't anything over $500.00 for a GPU

SystemsGO

Well if that benchmark is true it's only 30ish % faster then a GTX 680. Which is alot lower then the 50-55% rumored. So there is no reason to buy it at that price. Because you can pay $100 more for a GTX 690 or get 2 GTX 670's for less.

But time will tell.

Exactly, if I wanted to spend this much dough, I would get two 670's, if the price is reasonable I will for sure be picking one of these up. Although, I don't think all that vram is necessary for me, I only game 1080p, with one monitor. So who knows. I kind of think eyefinity and all that stuff is stupid, and disruptive of the actual image it's self.

It doesn't appear to be part of a new series and is in a different performance bracket to cards currently on the market, I would not expect the release of the Titan to have any effect on current GPU prices.

I was thinking the same.  If this card is only 25-30% or so faster than 7970/680, I don't see how it can sell for a grand.

Sorry, I was hinting about who was working on a custom Titan but it seems we misunderstood each other.

Take it for what you will but Titan is not limited to 10k cards, production will be ongoing and AIBs will be contionously getting supply.

SO let's say it's out and about and it's reasonably priced... Where would someone be able to purchase one of these, only ones I've found are from buying PCs at companies like iBuypower and whatever.

Well we have 3 due in the office later on today - hopefully we will have time to mount it and maybe do some testing.  Will speak with the boss and see if we can sort a copy of Crysis 3 for the testing.

Some quotes I found.

"Based on the results of testing a dozen games and benchmarks testing GTX TITAN against other single GPU products including GTX 680 and HD 7970. GTX TITAN is faster in all twelve tests ranging from 21 percent to 117 percent. All games and benchmarks were tested at a resolution of 2560x1600 with 4xAA/16xAF settings."

"The GeForce GTX TITAN is one of the most impressive pieces of hardware we have ever seen. It is delivering pure power and ultimate gaming performance whilst still being quieter than any other high end graphic card. Three of these in one system allows us to build one of the world's fastest PCs."
-- Michael Timm, VGA Product Manager, Alternate

"We at Inet strive to produce the most powerful and competitive gaming computers in the world. The GeForce GTX TITAN allows us to create a new monster gaming PC based on super computer technology, the new TAURUS TITAN 3-way SLI PC will become one of the world's fastest PCs!"
-- Jonas Järvsén, Product Manager, Inet

"Here at Komplett we always strive for the fastest gaming systems in order to meet our customers' high demands. The GeForce GTX TITAN is the fastest GPU we have ever seen, and will allow us to build the world's fastest gaming systems that will blow our customers away!"
-- Paal Fredrik Berg, Product Manager, Komplett PC

"The GeForce GTX Titan stands on its own and counts itself amongst the elite, paradigm-shifting graphics hardware of the modern era. It is the most badass, dominating GPU of recent memory. Every now and then we get the chance to experience hardware that brings shifts in performance and capabilities in a visceral and astounding manner. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan is one of the few and the memorable that perfectly complements our award-winning stable of high performance gaming PCs to offer an untouchable level of gaming performance."
-- Wallace Santos, CEO and founder, MAINGEAR

"GeForce GTX TITAN is the fastest single GPU card we have ever seen, and for the first time, we can allow our customers to harness the power of a real supercomputer inside their gaming PC."
-- Sylvain Montaletang, VGA Product Manager, MATERIEL.NET

"The GeForce GTX TITAN graphics card is a work of art, where the sum of the whole is greater! The supercomputer technology delivers unrivalled performance. What amazed us at Scan Computers was the fact it is cool and quiet enough to be run inside small form-factor PCs and when you put three together, it allows us to create one of the world's fastest Dream PCs."
-- Elan Raja III, Director, Scan Computers

[QUOTE="LordEC911"]

For now.... notice the extra 8pin?

darksusperia

There will only be a reference design, so no custom models. Additionally, in the first batch there may only be ASUS and EVGA cards available, thats why we didnt see any other listings. VideoCardz
Source Its exactly like the 690, reference only, no customs.

Did you notice what they are saying now?

NVIDIA did not forbid modifying the cards, meaning, manufactures are free to introduce custom models, maybe even with custom cooling.Videocardz

FYI- I don't believe they have a card nor are "in the loop" as far as info/leaks go, they simply get info from other websites.

So more importantly here is what Anandtech said about it-

In time we will see some specialized variation, with water cooling in particular being an obvious route for EVGA to go. Factory overclocks are also on the table.Anandtech

and

Finally, lets talk launch availability. By scheduling the launch of Titan during the Chinese New Year, NVIDIA has essentially guaranteed this is a delayed availability product. Widespread availability is expected on the 25th, though cards may start popping up a couple of days earlier. NVIDIA hasnt gone into depth for launch quantities, but they did specifically shoot down the 10,000 card rumor; this wont be a limited run product and we dont have any reason at this time to believe this will be much different from the GTX 690s launch (tight at first, but available and increasingly plentiful).Anandtech

Edit- Usually when I post info like this and don't have phrases like; "I think" or "I'm guessing" or some form of that it usually means that I am 99% confident of my info.

As far as we know it's not on sale yet and people are holding back on the reviews because Nvidia didn't give the go ahead.

Even if i could get one I still wouldn't, not for $900.  LinusTechTips has a video of a tiny build with the Titan in it.  A really small desktop that makes almost no sound.

I know they aren't released yet, but I can't find any site (Newegg / NCIX / etc.) which are mentioning they will have them in stock or not.
