Games for Windows live account needed to save

Resident evil 5 for PC prompts me to login to games for Windows Live or else I can't save, I really would like to play this game but the page to create an account is not available. Do you really need an account to save? I can't believe you would have to sign in just to play single player.

u can make offline profile for single player

for it press home button and then go through the procedure and make offline profile.

and then u will be able to play.
