And wow, I had no clue it would be this good (Civ 5). I played the game for about 5 hours straight as soon as I got it. It's RIDICULOUSLY addictive. I haven't been this addicted to a game in a very long time.

Anyone else crazily addicted to this game? I have a timer right in front of me to see how many hours I play now.

Yeah, Civ games can eat away your time.

Just one more turn...

Wait, what's that light in the window?  Oh, that's the sun...

Civ is a remarkable game that is so different each time you play that it will literally take you hundreds of hours before you start to see everything possible.

And each expansion adds like 100 hours in replayability. I have 300 hours so far and just starting Brave New World.

there were a few minor annoyances with civ 5 and a little more complexity would have been nice but overall it's a great game.

Civ is a huge time sink known for the "just one more turn" syndrome.

I just got Civ V myself but I'm not sure if I prefer that or IV more.

Any advice on how to make it like you say? seems all the same to me. What difficulty is reccomended for a good but FAIR experiance? I normally advance setup a really large game, but it seems to end in nearly the same way all the time.... and sometimes the civ placement is horrible, last game Iplayed they stuck russian in mountains and they were about 20% of the "score" of every other nation.

My friends got me to buy civ 5 when steam had it on sale last week.  It is my first civ game and I am still learning but I am finding it very fun.
