First game you played on the PC?

I found my old game collection from my youth over at my parent's house and I came across the first game I ever played on the PC. It's called Nightmare Ned, it's a kid's game from Disney Interactive that was about adventure and exploring a linear area. Pretty boring, but the music and the environment were the greatest I've seen in a game... tied with Half Life 1 perhaps.

So what was your first game?

I'm sure there areposts in here that havecovered this. I really don't care and I'm too lazy to resurrect them.

Don't remember the names so much, but one I remember was Impossible Mission (not mission impossible) on the Commodore 64.

Not counting learning games that I had at ages 3-6, Age of Empires II.

Very first game I played on a PC was..a old dos game called 'Gorrilaz' you had to calculate angle to throw a banana at a rival gorilla on the other side of the screen , was surprisingly good fun.master_blue

The first game I really remember playing was the original Need for Speed, my Dad got our first computer in 1998 and back then they gave you one or two games when you purchased the PC. It was really fun and I remember spending hours playing it.

Canyon Climber on a TRS-80 computer in 1982. I've been a PC, arcade and console gamer ever since.

Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior and some crazy tank game.

i can't remember its been awhile

SimFarm. Too much fun.

Or Math Blasters, if you count that.

Its really hard for me to say man....

First game that I can remember being hooked on for the PC was Doom and Descent. Im sure I've played some other PC games first, but those 2 are the ones I remember most.

Dang... this just makes me feel old now. Good to hear some classics though.

Bomberman 96, followed by Dark Reign and then StarCraft.

Honestly, being a newb at pc gaming, I started with Spore which can run on my three year old laptop on minumum settings, unless you count the old Apple II. I remember playing a detective game in which I had to figure out which criminal commited the crime. That was the last time I played a pc game up until Spore a year ago, then I got my gaming rig and now I'm playing Crysis, but I"m getting off topic.

I could never get past level 2, but I played it for hours.

Mine was Half Life. My brother had it for PC & he let me play it.

Age of Empires II.

Although my gaming history its a lot bigger.

I started with consoles before l get into PC gaming.

That would have been either Jazz Jackrabbit 2 or Need For Speed 5.
