WTH does that mean? Is Fileplanet closing down?GLaDoSxxx
It means it's no longer being updated and is in the process of being archived.

You're a genius. :|You clearly aren't.
That statement is straight forward and obvious.
What the hell? I still use FilePlanet.... It's the the only place I can find patches for my old games and mods. WHY!?!?! I don't want to use GamesFront. A lot of files on GameFront disappeared over the years. I couldn't even find old mods and patches for BF2 on there anymore.Jebus213It's being archived, meaning all of the old files will still be there, they just won't add any new ones.
Sad face.
Or is it?
I remember those queues... screw you, FilePlanet.

Always was a pretty mediocre service.

Do what I do, download patches/mods you use for games you have and then back them up and burn them to a DVD. I've probably got about 8GB of patches and mods saved on my secondary HDD and a couple of DVDs.
Then you don't have to worry about finding them online. I even do this for games that will auto-patch - like Titan Quest for example. Sure I can install the game and still get the patches through the Update button in the game menu screen....but just in case one day it doesn't work, I still want to be able to install the patch should I ever need to re-install it.
Didnt fileplanet had a queing line for downloading files wwaay back?
:\ good times. Updating games is just so easy now.
