I've only got enough money for one game and i don't know which one, on one hand i like shooters and alway wanted to try fear, but on the other hand i wanted to play jade empire since it first came out on xbox but never had one. So which one would you guys choose?
I'd choose F.E.A.R. only 'cause I've played both and like F.E.A.R. more.
I'm not trying to be a dick, but I never understand how some of you people can't choose between two games from different genres, especially when one is cheaper than the other. I understand if the choice was down to two different shooters or two different strategy games.

They are both great games. If you are in the mood for a great FPS experience FEAR. If you are in the mood for something rather different, go with Jade Empire.
If I wanted both and could only afford 1 I'd have to go with FEAR. Jade is fun and all but it just wasn't as exciting as say Star Wars Knight of the Old republic was.
FEAR.... i dont think jade empire will be anything other than a rehash of the xbox version with its dated graphics and gameplay, all the hype about it being special edition is an excuse for it taking so long to port. If u want an rpg in the same vein get NWN2 instead.

I don't think they're that similar. The combat, interface and game world are very different. Some people don't like point & click as much as real-time combat.
F.E.A.R. is by far one of the best games out there, it has awsome graphics, great AI, and a nice scary story to go along with it. Turn out the lights, turn up the volume, and you will have a experience only FEAR can provide. It is an utterly awsome game.
Get F.e.a.r. Jade Empire sucks hardcore, teh graphics are choppy and lag now and then, its a rather short game too ( took me about 10 hours to beat) F.e.a.r's graphics are crisp and run smoothly. The single player campaign will scar the **** outta you as well, (like doom 3 times 10) but like someone else said, the online is a free download (all over the place, www.joinfear.com or joinfear.org its one or the other maybe .net) The online runs crisply as well and always has people online. jade empire is just olot of runns around and beating people up with the smae attack over and over agian. but an even better game u dcould get for 40 bucks would be the Half-life 2 game of the year edition (comes with Counter-strike: source, Half-life 1 with source graphics, Half-life 2 : Deathmatch and i think Day of Defeat: source) hope this helps u choose.
I had a chance to play Both F.E.A.R. on my current Pc and Jade Empire for X-box.
Personaly I enjoy FPS games the most and fear is a no brainer fenomenal game and best choise.
Jade is also a very good game, however you can't compare them head to head. They're in different genre.
If I was chosing one of them to play first, it would be fear, but jade is also great game. Unless you can't afford to buy them, there is no reason why not to play both.
