[QUOTE="kieranb2000"][QUOTE="blooddog28"]I really want to try dragon age origins but i don't think my laptop can handle it... :|blooddog28It...might not be able to xD That said, the game is surprisingly not that demanding so it might. Usually I would say check on Can You Run It, or Yougamers.com, but neither of them pick up Mobility cards xDOn can you run it, it says i can run minimum specs. on recommended it says i need a cpu and video card upgrade. (which i cannot do) wonder if it would be worth playing on minimum specs? Yes it is.
Either Mass Effect or Knights of the Old Republic.
By the way, yougamers and can you run it are not incredibly reliable. On yougamer's game-o-meter it said my computer could not play Mass Effect 2, but after running the game it played perfectly (even better than ME1) with all the graphical settings turned up.
If I'm being honest, I'll have to say at the time nothing beat the epicness that is The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Of course, over the years I played to to death, to the point that I became pretty sick of it...jedinatMe too. I was going on a trip the other day and loaded it onto my laptop to play during the downtime and i uninstalled it right after...I can't imagine doing anything more than I did with the 3 characters I played it as
There are too many too list. I have always been fond of the ultima and wizardry games, though they go way back. I guess it just comes from me growing up playing D&D (how there was a rule book in the middle east, I'll never know). And I know I am going to get flamed to shreds for my view on what an RPG is and how broad the scope of the genre is, but I must say I truly enjoyed Oblivion. The core gameplay mechanics were simply stunning(ie combat, how being a mage actually works with the combat system, and tons and tons of land to explore). Although I wish there were more dialog choices, the game is still incredible for what it is. I also like the rest of the elder scrolls series, and like how they have made the games simpler, yet more feasible since Daggerfall (Arena was slightly underwhelming to me at the time). And then comes the black isle studios games, most of which I loved to death. They were and still are, the epitome of what I believe tactical RPG's should be(again, fostered by my early days being spent with D&D). I would buy a remake of icewind dale with prettier graphics in a heart beat, not to mention the baldurs gate games.
After long thoughts, I would have to say planescape: torment. The journeys of the nameless one and the revelations within the various plot twists make this game arguably my favorite RPG.
I'm really not a fan of new rpg's like for the computer. The rpg's I like are the old school ones for super nintendo and stuff. I guess I'm just living in the past lol.
My favorite would have to be Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, im sorry to say that ive never played morrowind, i might get it for the pc one day, but that'd have to be after i run out of games to play :)nixaguyWould really like to try oblivion but on can you run it, it said not compatible with windows 7! :(

Do not go by that website it is inaccurate.

I doubt you can run the game at good settings on your laptop. You would probably have to settle for lower settings.
The sky in oblivion is still the most beautiful in any game. Especially on the shivering isles if you chose to go to the land of Mania.

If the windows 7 compatiblity works, i could run it for sure! at can you run it it says that i can do everything in recommended specs except win7. @millerlight89 it has been accurate for all the games i have gotten so far, except the windows compatibilites... and even if it isn't completely accurate, it is close enough i'd say. :DI guess it is fine for people who really are not up to date on tech. Though I would recommend learning about your parts, that way you won't have to rely on that site.millerlight89believe me buddie i have tried! I am getting a little bit more knowledgeable I know my graphics card should be able to run oblivion for sure, and I'm sure 4GB shared memory can handle it, just the OS has been a problem on some games i have tried to play...
Old School SNES? Thats not old school :p Old School RPG's (non PnP) were PC games. My favorites fall into the Fallout crowd (1 & 2), as well as Arcanum and some really old ones like Obitus and Dungeon Master.I'm really not a fan of new rpg's like for the computer. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door was better :PMario and Luigi: Superstar Sega. Sorry computer gamers, you asked.

Deus Ex, The Witcher, Fallout would have to be my top three, and probably in that order. I would love to throw Borderlands up there, but really its a shooter. I guess you could argue that Deus Ex is a shooter, but I would say its more of an RPG than a game like Fallout 3 or VTM:B.
The TC said Diablo 2 was his favourite, so Borderlands is enough of an RPG to count :PDeus Ex, The Witcher, Fallout would have to be my top three, and probably in that order. Fallout 3 and vampire bloodlines are much more rpg than deus ex. I can make many points against that but i will make only one: Killing every enemy with a headshot from your default pistol is more of shooter thing than an rpg!!

For me Diablo 2 was a bit too lonely in single-player, I think the game was at its best with multiplayer on Battle.net
open Bnet sucked, and closed Bnet you have to make a completely new character.... which I didn't feel like doing. :|[QUOTE="AFBrat77"][QUOTE="blooddog28"]

I felt the original Diablo was more of a single-player game.

To be fair you did need to spend skill points to upgrade your pistol skills, and apply upgrades you found lying around, but yea, i was amazed at how it was one of the main weapons for the entire game (that and the silenced pistol)
