I am messing around with the graphics since at first it was very stuttery feeling when moving your view, especially in town.  The optimal settings are at max, but i turned it all down to high and 2xAA (at 1080P) and got it to run very smooth.  With that said, I am fiddling around with it and if I lower things like HBAO to HSAO and such I can turn everything else up, but it isnt quite as smooth (still seems to be holding pretty well in non fights, have not tried fighting yet) until i turn AA off.

So how did you play it?

Dude, I had everything maxed but AA, which I also had at 2 and got a solid 30-40+FPS, rarely ever going below 30.

Really?  You must not mind stuttery aiming :P.  It feels much smoother to me when you nail it to 60 FPS.

Then again, I guess I am kinda playing like that too.  I think i lowered some other things in that menu (like HBAO to SSAO) and kept 2XAA.

^A 670 should hit 60fps with no AA.

My 7970 could do it anyway. Not played the game since I got my 680 though.

I read somewhere that post process effects cause trouble and the best thing would be to turn them off completely. You can only do that manually, by messing with the ini file. I put mine to "low" in the video quality settings and I got no flickering. I have most other settings to high, and I don't really notice the difference whatever settings I choose, exept I have to use HDAO - whatever that means - HBAO and SSAO look ugly to me. FPS is usually in 30s and 40s for me thanx to my crappy CPU, but it's ok.

Sounds like you should be getting better performance than are. My old roommate's system has a 560ti, and it runs Fc3 maxed out, minus AA and AO (because the AO kills frames and looks terrible), with 50+ fps.

Run it in DX9. No more stuttering. Problem solved. Looks nearly identical to DX11. Honestly can't tell the difference. The game is a graphical powerhouse but the visuals aren't on the level of Crysis 3. Not that, that matters anyways.

Huh, any other opinions on DX11 vs DX9?  I am happy with my settings now.  Everything in the advanced panel is maxed, but I have SSAO on, 2XAA, and some other things off in that main video menu.

If I recall, I was doing max settings @ 1200p with 2x AA and got around 50-60 FPS. Got some slight stutter occasionally but wasn't too often.

I have 2 560s and it ran very well with mostly everything maxed except MSAA off and some other stuff turned to High.
