Somewhat similar. I don't really follow MOBA games a lot. But I think that LOL is more common; though, DOTA 2 is a much more complex and underground game.

The game had a $25,532,177 prize pool this year. I don't think I'd call that underground.

@schu: yeah. You may be right. Maybe I didn't use the appropriate. What I meant to say is that the game isn't as known as others out there. Maybe underground isn't the best word, My bad :)
