can't play any online pc games at all HELP!!

i can't play any pc online game at ALL i tried:COD4,COD2,COD waw,BF2,BF2142,all steam games,Gears of war, halo RBSV 2 guys nothing works at all!

iam having this problem for 4 days, i cab play online fine in ps3,xbox 360, and i tried halo in my crappy laptop and it works fine with ZERO problems, that mean that the problem is with my pc, i have a vista and a McAfee. HELP!

It would help if you told us what error messages if any you get when you try to play these games online.

hes messing with you, okay heres an idea, lets see if this works.

start > search for "run" > in the text box type cmd> a dos window will open type ipconfig/release > when it stops type ipconfig/renew, wait until its done. then see if u can connect to your games, if its still wont pm me for other possible solutions, such as your firewall is blocking them.

umm jeeze anyone think its a bad cable? or a termination issue?

Ok guys iam gonna tell everything that is going on: i can play PS3 and Xbox 360 online fine with ZERO problem and i can play pc online games in my laptop fine so that means that the problem is not in my internet its in my Pc.

i turned of the Firewall off from McAfee and from windows security and still not working, the internet is working Perfect in my pc but i cant games online.

how about he skips messing with his router and simply efaults it again? by holding down the reset button at the back for about 30 seconds. it would lower any protection you had previously up but its clear your router is blocking ports and it varies as to which ones u need open for various titles and its pointless to go hunting for port addresses everytime u want to play a new game XD. so yeah at the back is a little hole with (normally) a red buton inside it, simply hold i down for about 25-30 seconds and the router defaults all its settings (which is no port forwarding or closing, SSID broadcast on (if wireless), no wpa/wep key, no dmz, firewall up)
