Hey, i was playing bf3 right now and it was stuttering - i don;t know the technical name for it. It was not the server nor my connection. My gpu can easily handle it- i have had over a hundred hours played in the game with no problems. IN FACT I JUST played it a few hours ago- the setting are the same. My gpu temp is at 65 C. Which i believe is fine. My cpu had been going to 87 C- i have been waiting for getting a cooler. But i stopped playing cause the temps were too high. So then i played for about an hour today on lowered settings and it was at its highest of about 84 C. did i burn out my 3570k?

Did you restart the game? That happend to me when my GPU refused to go into 3D mode clocks (staying at 300MHz instead of going to 1050MHz). I suggest you install MSI Afterburner and monitor the FPS and clocks for your GPU in-game.

Dude, get a fan on that CPU! 84-87C is realllly cutting it close when your TJMax is 105C (It'll start throttling in the 90s). I wouldn't doubt it if a lot of the choppiness is because of the CPU getting hot. Even if it wasn't, I would be very uncomfortable with a CPU that hot.
