Best PC game EVER

I'm just curious to see if any out there have something different then you're usual cliche game...(Halo, Half Life, Oblivion) and maybe bring something new and perhapes something I haven't played yet.

Personally I'm going to have to go with the RE series. Just because the great times. I remember the first one the PS playing it with some friends.... that game was once scary. Lol. And ever since then I've bought and beaten every one.

I'll go with BG or NWN's then.

2. Fallout 2

3. System Shock 2

EDIT: oh hell.. i completely forgot about X-Com. It's definetly the best game ever made. 

1) Age of Mythology

2) Commandos: Destination Berlin

3)Dreamfall: The Longest Journey ( very good storyline...not much in terms of gameplay).

4) F.E.A.R. (best fps i've ever played) ..... love this game to bits..it is awesome.

Diablo 2

Baldurs gate 2 still playable today even though the graphics have aged...

Everquest live.....

Some people here must not have a broad experience of PC games when they say things like F.E.A.R. That game is good, but it's linear as hell, boring environments, tiny amount of enemy and weapon variation, mediocre multiplayer and short single player game makes it less than outstanding.-Unreal-

Half Life and Morrowwind, sorry for the cliche, but it's true. :)

All time = X-Com.  No contest, hands down winner.

FPS - Half Life 2

Tactical FPS - R6: Rogue Spear (although Vegas is damn good in my opinion, on realistic.)

RTS - Company of Heros.  Most fun I've had with a game in years, and I'm not a big RTS fan eithier.

Flight - Tie Fighter.  Almost made this my number 1 game, I'd put it a VERY VERY close second.  Why can't we get another?

RPG - Deus Ex (with Oblivion nipping at its heals.)

Action RPG - Diablo II

1. Tie Fighter: many, Many hours put into that game. never played another space sim quite like it.

2. Wing Commander Privateer: first real open ended game i played. shooting things for money is fun!
