In my experience tv's that arent tn panels or crt feel like playing onlive a little to me. I'd only get a big tv for watching movies.
You'd be hard pressed to find a better TV at ~$1300 for the 55" Panasonic VIERA TC-P55ST30. The GT and VT add a few more features and slightly better image quality, but this TV is loads better than any LCD of a similar size at twice the price.rastan
Our 60" ST30 comes tomorrow, but just from reading AV forums and professional reviews rastan is correct. You won't find a better value than the ST30. You could get a slightly better picture by getting a Samsung D7000/8000, but you won't get the large screen. ST30 has performance and price nailed down. The 60" goes for about $1320 on Amazon I believe.

I own the ST30. It has buzzing issues, and while it varies case by case, it is widespread and almost always there. I'd seriously consider checking out the Samsungs, or at least speaking with a sales rep and/or panasonic about the problem. The picture is great, though.
