Hi

Are the ABIT IB9 P965 motherboards compatible with Quad Cores? The box has no indication that it does but Amazon say that it is compatible.

Thanks

No Quad Core support. But it supports X6800 processor & it's very expensive. Look for a mother board that has a P35, X38, G33, nForce 650i, nForce 680i chipset

i can assure you that the P965 chipset fully supports quad core processors. i have an Abit Ab9 (with a P965 chipset), and with a BIOS update, i can even support 1,333mhz processors.

According to manufacturer's site It supports only Dual Core processors(P4, CeD...)
