For some reason I just didn't enjoy the first as much as the second. It could eb that I played it in 2008 ten years after it came out. it was still a great game though.

Not surprising, the original Half-Life does not hold up well, but if you played it before the turn of the century, you'd realize why it was considered great at that time.
My selection, DOOM II, holds up much better, heck I could throw it on and play it now and love it.

The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion. Even though I hate RPGs, this game issimply a masterpiece.

I thought it was good when I first played it because it was the first RPG I had ever played. Once I started playing more RPGs I relized just how mediocre it was.
warcraft 2 and expansion, that was back in the glory days of blizzard pumping out awsome game after awsome game. I remember the pamphlet that came with wc2 had ads for starcraft and diablo 2.... mmmm....
Tough choice, but I'll just say Morrowind. All around it has my favorite storyline, my favorite game world, and my favorite characters. It's lengthy and it's detailed. Oblivion was easily my most hyped game of all time, and let's just say Bethesda didn't deliver the goods. Not only they didn't maintain the quality of Morrowind, they flat out lied about features in the game.
For me it's Jedi Outcast. To quote somebody whose name escapes me at the moment: "It wasn't the first game to put a lightsaber in your hands, but it was the first game that made you feel that you did."
This is a tough one. I want to say star wars galaxies before they ruined it, because that blew WoW away. and we know how popular Wow is so you can imagine if you haven't played it. If they didn't destroy it, I bet itd be in 2nd place right now for most popular mmorpg.
Probably Mafia is my favorite but I haven't seen many strategy games so here's one for you. One of my very top favorite games is Detroit. This is a strategy game made way back in 1993 and we ran it on a 386 way back before Pentium's existed. You could actually design you own cars. This should be up near the top but I think most people here are too young to know anything about it.
from old ones It's Max Payne 2.. & from recent releases It has to be Left 4 Dead, simply amazing!. I'm myself surprised that I didn't choose Crysis to be my all time favourite.. cause I've really enjoyed MP 2 & L4D more than Crysis.
Either Fallout 1 or 2. No other RPG (well, maybe Planescape Torment) comes even close. The original Fallout games really do make FO3 look like a bad high-school joke.
