The other day my pc would turn on but no display. I have z170-e mobo and a i7 6700k 4g oc 4.5 by the company where i bought it from. I have had the pc just over a year but the company has 3 year warranty so im ok. Any way when turning it on the memok light was on. So from start i knew it was that. I phoned where i got it from and they told me to take the battery out first for 5 minutes and see what happens when put back in. After putting phone down i did what they asked but that didnt do any thing. I phoned back up which then they said take ram 1 at a time and try it one at a time and swop round. Any turns out to be faulty right ram as when i turned it on with the left ram in the ram ok light went as it was still on with the right ram. But this caused another problem as the cpu light on the mobo came on. So then they just said send it in for rma. AT the moment im using the x1x internet to write.this.

CPU is easy to check, stick your finger on it. If it burns you it's working, cold is dead.
