A lot of people hate it? Since when? Do we really need another Dark Knight thread? With that said I think it is one of the best films of the year.

I thought it was a really good movie that had a few too many corny "feel good" moments keeping it from being great.

well, some of my friends thought it was kind of lame-ish. if theres one thing we can all agree on, it's that without Heath Ledger, that movie wouldn't have been as good as it is now.

What do you mean we can all agree on that? For all any of us know it could have easilly been better or just as good.

Obviously... I loved the Joker the most, but I also loved the Bat Pod, the action, the theme of the movie, Harvey Dent, etc. The only things I really hated was what they did that Lamborghini, Bale's Batman voice and Maggie Gyllenhal.

Best film I saw all year. I love the absence of excessive CGI in favour of real stunts that would of taken real skill and commitment to pull off.

Way over-hyped. It was a good film, but nowhere near as amazing as the hyperbole beforehand suggested. The Joker was also far less impressive than some people on here would have you think. He was good, but not Oscar-winning good. I still prefer the 1989 film, and Nicholson's Joker, to be honest.

Just off the top of my head, that lame ass seen on the boats...when the criminal threw the detonator into the ocean people in the theater literally stood up and cheered. Some were even reduced to tears of joy. It was sickeningly stupid.

The only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that Batman didn't have the guts to kill the Joker. In the 1989 Batman, he tries to kill the Joker at all costs, blowing up his factory, shooting him with machine guns and missiles, anything to bury him. In The Dark Knight he almost kills himself trying not to run over the Joker with his batpod.

Well, that and the fact that the actress who plays Racheal Dawes in The Dark Knight is UGLY.

Heath Ledger is easily the best Joker to date, however. If he doesn't win the Oscar there is something seriously wrong with whoever makes that decision.

It certainly wasn't a feel good moment. Just because the boats didn't blow up doesn't mean it's a feel good moment. I think our definitions of a feel good moment are completely different..

Are you even reading anything people are posting or are you really this dense? I never said ALL movies. I said in really dark or action packed movies there is always some form of relief from it.

The Dark Knight was great and of course, Heath Ledger's performance was amazing. I just didnt like how in the movie Joker wears makeup. What happend to the vat of toxic which causes him to laugh uncontrollably!? Oh well. I liked how they involved Harvey Dent / Two Face, but hated that he died so quickly.

I thought it was good I guess, Im not a big superhero movie guy, but I do think its overrated, on the internet atleast. I also thought Nicholson played a much better joker than Ledger's.

I liked it, but I thought it was severely overhyped. I though Heath Ledger was alright, but not spectacular, and definitely not as good as Jack Nicholson. All in all, I was disappointed.

Yeah. Just wait until the movie Blood Meridian (based on a book by Cormac McCarthy) comes out. Compared to that book, The Dark Knight is a comedy.

I'm going to have to agree with most in this thread when I say its one of the best movies I've ever seen. I'm not saying this becuase of the joker and how crazy the media got after his death but becuase it really has the attributes of a great movie. The story really captures each in it's own way and keeps all eyes focused on the screen for what will happen next at all points throughout the movie. Another great thing about this movie is that no matter how many times you've seen it, it's so entertaining that it's impossible to look away.

Give it a watch on blu ray. Makes a perfect movie even better.

How could you say that about the Lambo... :( And yeah, Bale's voice was deep and scratchy in the first one, but I don't remember it being that bad.

The first three times I saw it, I loved it. After seeing it twice more, there's many glaring errors or things that could've been done better in my opinion,
