For anyone who works out a gym regularly, what are the things that irritate you most? Here are mine:

1. People who don't re-rack their weights. If you're strong enough to put them on there, then you're strong enough to take the damn things off. Don't be a butthole.

2. People who use 2 stations simultaneously. Pick one or the other. Don't hog them both at the same time.

3. People who don't wipe off their sweat. EVERY gym provides free towels. USE THEM!

4. People using a station for something other than its intended purpose, when it could easily be done elsewhere. There was this group young teens using the bench press station to do tricep curls with dumbbells when there's a bajillion other flat multipurpose benches they could do it on. Irritating.

Anyone else have these problems? Any other problems you have?

They used to have these public service type announcements on the TV's...I was like who needs to hear all this, it is common sense...apparantly not. I hate: 1. people that stand and workout right in front of the dumbbell rack...f'ing move so others can get some weights 2. people that take up equipment for like 10 years while talking to others or on the phone 3. people that use like 10 dumbbells at once 4. not wiping up after their sweaty a$$ 5. the wierd dude that stares at himself in the mirror too much

I cant stand the people who camp machines/benches. Like they do 5 reps and rest for like 5 minutes. Usually happens on the abdominal machine and the sit up benches. It especially pisses me off when they dont even do the damn exercise right. I usually give them an impatient look and stand close to it and they get the hint.

Why/how is that a pet peeve?

I run on a tredmill before i lift weights every other day (the other days I do stairs so I dont get bored). It is better for your knees than concrete and i can make myself run on a consistent incline. But I lift weights after I do my cardio so I have a reason for being there rather than to run so I guess I dont qualify for your pet peeve.

I also get annoyed about the emo kids with jeans and baseball caps coming up there to work out on a special occasion, they have a very inconsistent "routine" of working out, they rarely use any of the equiptment right, and its really just a waste of space. Since they dont go there frequently that one session they did of poor weight lifting will do jack **** for them.

Guys who say "I'm using that" when actually they were wandering around the gym discretely pulling their shirts up and flexing their muscles in front of the mirror.

What's wrong with that? What if it's 100 degrees outside, and you don't have one at home?

Girls with incredibly nice, round butts that tend to cause unwanted blood flow to a certain part of my body rather than the muscle groups. That probably accounts for why I'm still so skinny...

My favorite taboo thread:twisted:

-The guy that checks out teh gunzorz in the mirror after every set

-Curling in teh squat rack!

-When someone walks stands infront of you while you're concentrating on your form in the mirror

-Gotta love the guys that workout in the jeans, colored shirts and greasy hair too

And all female attention gets diverted in their direction (I always think of the Hefty bag commercial, look at my muscles *wimpy wimpy wimpy*, look at theirs *hefty hefty hefty*)......Also I think it is funny when people talk to themselves for motivation while staring intensely at their reflection in the mirror.

But you shouldn't have to do it before, just like how you shouldn't have to rack someone else's weights because they were too lazy to do it themselves.

Why do people care if others are looking at themselves in the mirror when working out? Like it affects your workout in anyway. You should be focusing on yourselves.
