You're making me feel bad now. I turned down a guy shorter than me. But... that was probably because he is in year 8 and I'm in year 10. Too much of an age difference for teenagers.

Anyways, it is definitely something that guys contribute as there are definitely guys who would feel a bit imasculated by being shorter than their girl.
Personally, because I am such a short guy (I can't be taller than 5 foot 5 and I will be 21 at the beginning of November) I haven't let the thought of dating a taller girl bother me. There have been a couple instances where I found girls who were really short and I thought their height kind of contributed to their cuteness.
