I play for entertainment, the challenge and to past the time. I do have to wonder whether i'm addicted to my games or whether i'm simply making sure the games in my collection still work. :D :P
yes i too agree with the entertainment and relaxing factor, however i play mostly to feel that i am doing something big, since the hero in games does big things such as save the world and stuff and also for romance factor for e.g. i am in ff8 disc 3, personally i am quite like squall mentally. i believe that achievement in games is always bigger then real life perhaps because in real life i ain't that good then in games. it sort of living a part of the dream for me. where i can get it all. i have been playing since i got a game called ping-pong from my uncle. i am yet to touch a ps2 game. overall i play for enjoyment and to forget all the worries for a while.
Its a great way to end the day when it was horrible. Nothing says RnR when you are blowing something to smithereens! Plus it gives me an excuse to lounge around and say I'm "multitasking".
I play games because i enjoy it and its help be not being depressed. However, ATM I'm not playing any games.. :( Also yeh it passes time... life surely does.. yeh you know what I'm trying to say. :(
i am with ksc4, for killing the depressions of life, playing takes me out of this world to its own world! being hero helps me a lot. but anyways like everyone else i play for the fun, i enjoy playing a game especially when i have the upper hand on the enemies, finishing a foe, especially a boss makes me feel happy. overall i play for fun and killing worries. i do not like all the genres, i mostly like rpg and hack and slash genres.
