Honestly, it pisses me off, thanks to the idiots that steal music we now have DRM and rising prices in music. There was a case where a woman got fined over 200,000 for sharing stolen music, good ridince to her.In my opinion, people that steal music have done something illegal at one point in their life.I hope the asshat that started napster gets his in the end. Does your moral high-horse make you feel important?-Makaveli-
You know what, it does. I despise people who steal things that don't belong them.

Then you should hate record companies. They take all the money for music they did not make themselves. You should hate capitalism.IMO they're there to make money, that's why they sue poor defenseless people. People steal music because they can't afford to buy every album, in fact some artists encourage you to steal it to get their name out there. They make more money on concerts and merchandise anyway.X360PS3AMD05Yeah, they make more on concerts than they do records.
Cause its free. Doi.
And raising the price of CDs because people are stealing music is by far one of the most idiotic notions I've ever come across. I download music, sure...usually just a few songs to sample an album.

I see you're a fellow AFI fan, so I won't disagree with you.
Stop being so moral. We know this stealing is just as bad as everything else, but b/c so many people does it, it seems justified.
To answer your question: Save money.

governments and corporations are screwing the little guy constantly. that doesnt make illegal downloading right but if you're going to whine about people stealing then bash the corporations that screw thier employees out of benefeits and money..
[QUOTE="helium_flash"]Because it is free :roll:...Quadrifoglio
Exactly. I wouldn't do it if it will cost me money.
better than my answer.
Not to mention, i've bought so many CDs from bands that i never ever would have known about if it weren't for downloading.X360PS3AMD05
Same. Before I downloaded music I pretty much didn't buy any cd's. I listened to hardly any music. I started to download music and I also started buying cd's.
my thinking is, if you like an artist, you should buy their album so they can make money and make more good albums.
If I only like one or two songs from an artist, I'll just bookmark a youtube video of the song I like.

Because in Canada it is legal. The US laws cannot be applied to Canadians and the Canadian Supreme courts have ruled the transfer of digital media legal.

That's it I'm moving to Canada.

If I recall, a new CD 15 years ago cosr about $20. Today, most CDs cost at most $20, with a very good number of them costing significantly less.
