i also agree with this.
But we don't. Women are more privledged than men(in America)For the same reason it's said that people are equal. They're not. Some are naturally stronger, better looking, or more intelligent. I think this "equal" business is supposed to mean that people should have the same rights and protections under the law.

He said 'should'...not actually have.
I agree we should have equal protection under the law, but many factors contribute to the fact that we actually don't
-things like money (buy better lawyer, settle out of court), looks (studies show juries are less harsh on attractive people), etc create an unequal situation

[QUOTE="paranoidpixie95"]You start your post by outlining how men and women are different, but totally contradict yourself by claiming they are equal. Which one is it?Because they are. There are some things that men can do better. There are some things that women can do better. At the end of the day, we each need the other gender to maintain and flourish the human society. That is why we are truly equal.

On a side note, what the hell is this Futariana crap or whatever it is?
thegerg
The latter. Generally speaking, men are more likely to be stronger, while women are more likely to be smarter. However, brute strength doesn't get you anywhere, and intelligence is useless unless you can apply it in real life. That is why we are truly equal.
Here in America we like to say that everybody's equal, but we're not. And we definitely don't f***ing act like it....because they usually are?
TINYOWNSYOU
I mean... America, if you're going to sit there, and say that we're equals, the least you could do is f***ing act like it. But you don't.
Strength is not a prerequisite for equality....and there are some women stronger than some men anyway.Men as stronger physically, so no we are not equal. :P

Strength is not a prerequisite for equality....and there are some women stronger than some men anyway. True, but rarely by "natural means". AKA, they had to work for it.oh I'm so glad of my manly antibody......Men as stronger physically, so no we are not equal. :P

WTF that is a myth. I can't believe people still believe this stuff. You are given either an x and a y (male) or 2 X's (female) chromosomes even before fetal stage. ( In Embryo stage) No sex was ever the opposite sex at any point. Embryology 101: Embryos before week 5 are known as the indifferent embryo, classified as niether male nor female. The SRY gene is located on chromosome Y and is activated inducing the embryo towards male differentiation. In the absence of this gene, the embryo will default to female. That is why some people have the understanding that embryos are first female and are then "induced to be male". It is simply a method of understanding.[QUOTE="Treflis"]
Because infants are all females in the early stages of their development and don't become males until they get the "Male" chromosome.

Meh. I guest your right.

Don't feel bad. I'm pretty sure I was wasted when I wrote what I posted in this thread. On an unrelated note, how come your avatar isn't a pack of gumany more?

I dunno, I think a male is superior at being a man than a female.Under the U.S. constitution (in the U.S. obviously), women are inferior.

I dunno, I think a male is superior at being a man than a female.I don't know, I think I could be a male if I really tried. I can scream incoherently when my sports team (see *) loses, i can brag about how big my penis (*) is, I can drive around in my fancy car (*) that is meant to cover up my insecurity about my small penis (*), I could punch my friends in the arm as an act of friendship, I could mock members of the opposite gender and brag about how many of them I've had sex with, I can even fart (see **) in public.
* If I had one.
** Already do. :D

A huge difference between A citizen and gender. Women arent constitutionally protected. I could own a business and turn down a female application simply because she was a woman. And i wouldnt get hounded.EDIT: If what you said were true, there would be no need for the 19th amendment in the first place.

And i wouldnt get hounded. If the company has a policy to only hire women because their clients are women only, if it is a small company or religious based agency, the company can legally hire strictly male or female employees. If the reason they did not hire you was for a position that could be filled by a male or female, and the company is not limited to a specific gender, then yes it would be illegal. Per se, if the agency is a woman owned and run company for women only, such as all the Curves gyms out there, then legally they do not have to hire a male applicant and is totally within the law to reject a male applicant. Depending on the actual position, a company can also limit the gender of the individual being hired. Some positions require that a company do placement based on gender, such as within a large counseling center that is seeking a female counselor of victims of sexual assault, again this is totally legal.[QUOTE="MetallicaKings"]If a woman call me a name, I should be able to punch her as if she has a penisLockedgeI wonder why one on either side would want to resort to violence in the first place, and reciprocate it as if it would be a signal of equality. 17,000 posts on GS and you actually thought I was serious!? Just trollin and rollin my friend ;] :o Someone who actually says something of that sort in jest! I've literally had lengthy discussions over similar statements in the past. THere are many in GS who actually feel that the proper application of equality, in terms of violence, is that if one person of any sex hits another person of any sex, they deserve and should probably be hit in return without legal consequence. it's rather silly. :P
