It happens to some people. Just have to be careful with your brain. When I was 15 I had a crush on a girl at school. But I allowed myself to really let my mind run with it and I put her on a figurative "pedestal". It got to the point where I was so into her I would get dizzy and start feeling like I was going to black out when I was near her or talked to her. It was bad. Eventually I grew out of it and forgot about her and now I can function normally around girls I am attracted to. Its something you either grow out of, or you will need to fight off.
Just remember once your dead, all those fears never mattered. Regrets are a lifetime of disappointment.
