Why All The Hate On Rebecca Black's "Friday"?

Honestly guys, whats the big deal? I see quotes from her song being used in almost every topic, obviously sarcastically.

A snippet:

Kickin' in the front seat
Sittin' in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?

But hold on now, lets roll back. Multi-million dollar artists have lyrics that are just as bad, if not quite worse. After a quick search on google, I came across a few lyrical snippets of the most beloved artists of today. Keep in mind, these guys have won Grammy's.

P. Diddy: "Young, black, and famous, with money hanging out the anus."

Lil Wayne: 1. "When I was five my favorite movie was the gremlins. Aint got s*** to do with this but I just thought that I should mention."

2. "Dear Mr. Toilet, I'm the s***"

Dr. Dre: "I use Crest so ain't no cavity creeps in my drill."

Kanye West: "Are you into astrology? Cause I'm tryin to make it to Uranus."

Peter Gunz: "N****s in the Bronx call me Lex cause I push a Lex, and I rock a Rolex and I lounge on Lex', and I love sex."

Ying Yang Twins: "Ay ****! Wait til you see my ****.Wait til you see my ****. Ay ****! Wait til you see my ****. Imma beat dat ***** up."

And my all time favorite,

Now lets take a second to reflect. Sure, Rebecca Black isn't quite as "edgy" as these artists, but her grammar is respectful, and she gets her point across. Does she deserve all the hate?

Exactly. Agree with this guy. Pop music is already horrible today as it is with those other artists you mentioned. Do you honestly feel that a song that sounds like something Barney would sing is okay?

Strangely enough, I just happened to watch the video of this song. I've heard that this girl wanted to make a music video and the parents (that are rich) paid for it and there ya go. It sucks, the lyrics are banal stuff a 10 year old can come up with and still feel guilty for writing it. Her singing is annoying and not to mention the auto-tune usage, meaning no talent whatsoever.
But mine's an opinion. It ain't hate. I hate that stuff like this is popularized, degrading the musical standards.

In all seriousness OP, it is just because it sounds terribad... Basically what Kesha would sound like without sythesizers... Before it was just a scary though, but Rebecca Black showed the world what it would actually sound like and the world died a little.

She gets somewhat of a free pass from me because this is just a company that make songs for semi-talented and above teens. It's not like she's a real artist.

However, the laziness in songwriting by the company and the encouraged use of autotune to ruin talent is quite disappointing.

Plus...Dr Dre and Kanye West are known primarily for their production ability, not necessarily for their rapping.

Because her lyrics are so unbelievably terrible and the auto tune can't disguise her talentless singing voice.
