The Nazis. They deliberately tried to wipe out certain peoples based on their "race" and also killed people just because they were handicapped. Plus the Nazis invaded other countries. At least the Islamists mostly fight in Muslim countries, and the Crusaders were fighting to regain control of Jerusalem and safeguard the rights of pilgrims, so they could claim to be waging a defensive war. The Nazis clearly waged a war of aggression with the purpose of taking land away from other ethnic groups and enslaving or wiping out those groups.

Yeah, you're right. Part of the reason the Nazis were able to kill so many people was because of modern technology. The Soviets were probably just as bad as the Nazis, though not as racist.
as well, many people claim to be "christians" but are not. those "christians" of past eras did not act accordingly and, therefore, i easily and very much question their christianity.

I just Googled something comparing Stalin and Hitler. I remember learning that more people died under Stalin's reign (although not necessarily by direct actions of the regime) but couldn't remember the numbers. This came up.
The Nazis probably killed the most people in the shortest amount of time but I wouldn't put it past radical Muslims like al Qaeda to kill ten times as many people if they had the ability to do so. What makes radical Muslims so dangerous compared to the other two choices is the fact that many are willing to die to further their cause, meaning I wouldn't put it past them to try and resort to chemical or biological attacks even if they would be in ground zero of the attack.

I think more people died under Stalin. But Stalin was also in power a lot longer than Hitler. Stalin's policies also helped Hitler come into power.
