While I'm not a Speilberg fan you have to give him Indiana Jones (well except Indiana Jones and the curse of the unnecessary sequel). Schindler's List is a brilliant film, as is Duel.

And I see that you've conviniently left out his greatest works such as Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan.
His movies may not appeal to you, but the bloke has been awarded 3 oscars for Christ's sake...he's certainly not a lame director.

Opinions are opinions ,and i respect yours. As for the Oscars since Pulp fiction didn't won the Oscar for best movie and tarentino for best director dont give a damn about them
My favorite is Peter Jackson. The LotR movies are quite epic and the King Kong remake was actually very good. Of course, I sort of hated Gimli's role as a comic relief character and that the beginning of King Kong was a drag. Still very good movies though.

Pulp Fiction isn't that great *flame shields on*
Once again opinions are opinions .I personally love that movie mostly for the innovation

Peace it is:D
In all honesty, Michael Bay.
The man entertains me! That's all I ask for in films, is half naked women and **** getting blown sky-high. Don't get me wrong, I love Scorsese, Kubrick, Spielberg, Lucas, Tarantino and all those amazing directors. I just love Bay for the reason previously stated. Call him a guilty pleasure of mine :P

Indeed opinions are opinions... my opinion is that QT is the worlds most popular plagiarist... That said, I do love Jackie Brown.
The true is that he is the most plagiated But surely he too had its sources has any creator in this world
Pulp Fiction isn't that great *flame shields on* Samwel_XI agree, but then again I'm not the biggest Fight Club fan either. Most people I meet that like Pulp Fiction also really like Fight Club, but neither really appeals to me for some reason. And as for my favorite director....I've always been a Frank Capra fan.
Stanley Kubrick or Terry Gilliam....
Actually, too tough to choose one, there are so many amazing directors.
I don't really have an overall favourite (that would be too hard) but James Cameron is one of them.
Terminator, Terminator 2 and Aliens are 3 of my all-time favourite movies (which he not only directed but also wrote). Plus, he aided in the design of one of my favourite fictional creatures, the Predator.
Steven Spielberg directed Saving Private Ryan (and helped with Band of Brothers) and Ridley Scott directed Alien which are also high on my favourite movies list, and Band of Brothers is simply amazing.
There are too many talented directors out there, to be able to pick a single one.

I think Alien is far better than The Predator, both in terms of film quality and killing skills
:P
Joking, they're far too different to compare. But AVP was fun to watch, despite it being a crappy movie.

WOOT for Terry Gilliam and Danny Boyle : D
Although the only reason I watched 28 Days Later was for the immensely awesome soundtrack.
