Which Sports Anchor do you like most/least?

I was trying to watch espn sportscenter at late night with the bald SVP guy with glasses, and even at 6 pm , but they are almost unwatchable.

Like vanpelt has to put some lame obnoxious spin on everything with stupid house music in the background, you cant even get the sports news in peace because everything is so annoying. There is a segment he calls "Gumbo" and the reason is because he just has a mish mosh of random clips, thus a "gumbo" with new orleans music playing in the background?? Plus he takes like 60 seconds to say something that can be said in 6.

Then there's Esiason, who sounds like he always has to clear a loogie while simultaneously trying to defecate.

Nick Swisher is unreal because its like he is high as a kite.

Then Kenny Maine is always slurring his speech... is he drunk?

Lisa Kerny's ok cause she has endless teeth and she was a baller.

Like what the hell?

A-Rod. Ever since he started his broadcasting career.

A very informed baseball genius. Who is passionate, and knows how to get relevant information the fans want to hear. Shows up with a stack of notes too.

I didn't watch him this year yet but he was good last year MLB playoffs. Most ex players turn analyst aren't good at breaking down games. Jalen Rose does good at breaking down NBA but I'm not a fan of Chauncy Billups. Michelle Beadle sucks too.

Jamele Hill I used too like when she going toe to toe with Skip Bayless on cold pizza/1st and 10/1st Take.

She fell off.

Now the main people who I don't watching is the females who you can clearly tell are not really into sports.

Not an anchor but broadcaster: Gus Johnson.

Dude brought so much life to his calls and added to the excitement without being a distraction.

Yea, it's great watching them bounce back and fourth, good rapour compared to alot of sports broadcasters. You can tell they support each other.

I enjoy listening to Dan Lebatard on the radio. Not a fan of highly questionable.

Mike Greenburg rubs me the wrong way and I don't know why.

@PSP107: Ex-professional players are usually my least favorite analysts. Often they can get in the mindset that since they played the game for most of their life. They can discuss the game in the shoes of an analyst. And in cases like Reggie Miller, they're terrible at it. Apples to coaching and front office positions too.

Non-player analysts generally have to work their way up the corporate ladder, before they get that seat. Guys like Jerry Rice have overlooked that and tried to use their playing days as leverage in an argument. And it truly just makes them look more uninformed and stupid. A-Rod is truly in a different breed of broadcasters, as he actually puts in the work before showtime. So he actually has intelligent things to say. Instead of trying to walk in 5 minutes before going live, and expect to hit a home run with show business. Based largely on his playing days.

@jak42:

Reggie Miller is good at it because like Jalen Rose, he actually watches basketball. Shaq was a really good player in his days but you can tell he probably didn't watch alot of NBA games during his childhood/playing days.

Tony Romo has been ok with CBS so far as you can tell he's a fan of Football.
