I think most people say they like the manga better, but I find alot of mangas hard to follow, and the translations are always pretty bad.  I stick to anime though, it's just a better medium for me.

I think it depends on the series you're reading/watching.

I think that depends largely on which media you generally prefer. A person who favors comics over cartoons would probably like mangas better than animes... I personally prefer anime, but mainly because mangas are stupidly expensive.

It depends. Some mangas that can be hard to follow translate well as an anime but there are just as many anime that lose a lot of their depth when they are developed from the original manga.

Mangas have more information, while anime has more action. All about mood, I guess.

I actually like manga. I have more time to sit and read a manga then I do to sit and watch anime episodes I have on DVD.

I like manga. But at the same time, the anime gives more action and life to the characters (plus it's in color and more detail). But I also like to read the manga as well since there tends to be a bit more information in it as far as characters and such.

Depends but in general you should read/watch both if you like a series. the anime brings it to life but the Manag fills in the holes or back story and even continues the story in some cases when the anime end. For example Berserk, best anime ever imo but the manga filled in so much that it's a crime not to read it after watching the anime.

QFT. I agree watch the series as it should, then read it to catch missed points.

Depends on the series.

I prefer watching OVAs, feature length movies and reading manga. Series are just too long and too drawn out for me.

I just saw "Howl's Moving Castle" today... awesome stuff, some of the most creative character design I have seen.

Depends on the series. For example an action packed series like Bleach might be better as an anime, but when stories are stripped down it's better to read the manga like for example Love Hina.

Some anime is amazing, but in general, I prefer manga... not sure why. It just feels more... immersive... or something? It tends to be more able to produce an emotional reaction in me

Off-topic...but I lovvvved Snatcher for the Sega Cd...one of the handful of games (Lunar, Dark Wizard, etc) that the system worth while.

Snatcher for the SEGA CD was the best adventure game ever! I'm so excited, there's a rumour going around that Suda 51 and Hideo Kojima are making a sequel for it EXCLUSIVELY for the Wii!

It depends. Some are better as manga because the backstories are developed better. However, some are better as anime because the action scenes look better animated. There are other reasons, too, but those are the ones I've noticed more often.

It depends. I personally like anime better, but not all anime is done with the best voice teams. So in that case the manga versions are superior. Not to mention there are some great manga series.

I prefer anime but with japanese audio and english subtitles. #1 Because the show is REDONE so they add and remove things. #2 Best of both worlds, I get action, while getting text *think Zelda games*

I've learned over the years that manga is usually more mature than anime(depending on the anime, of course). And I love reading because I can put in my own voice acting(which ROCKS, btw). Also, I can read the same manga over and over without getting bored, unlike anime. It just seems lke it's slightly different everytime I read it.

But I love both anime and manga. Just manga more at the momment because it's cheaper than anime. ;)

manga for me because in the anime they tend to miss some bits from the manga.
