Where do you sit in the movie theatre?

I do not understand people who insist on sitting far away from the screen, it almost seems to defeat the purpose of seeing it at the cinema. People sitting at the back are basically getting a TV view. I always make sure to sit wherever the screen fills my entire vision which normally means middle front or front depending on the screen.

so you know how a lot of newer theaters have a walk way about 1/3'd of the up. I try to site in that front row in the center. Leg room galore.

well i like to sit in the very back row in the middle if possible. i'll settle for a slightly less enjoyable viewing experience so that i don't have some little kid kicking the back of my seat. plus i hate when people are sitting behind me making noise. it just ruins the experience. if the theatre is pretty empty then i will sit in the middle, but if it's full then i want the last row in the middle.

Depends on the cinema design. In a normal cinema I sit at the very back so I'm in line with the screen and can actually see the whole screen at once. However at the cinemas near my place they have two levels. I always pay the couple dollars extra to go on the bottom level, get a seat in the middle and lie down on the recliner and look straight up at the screen. It is so worth the extra $2 for the recliner, plus the bottom section is almost always deserted to no annoying kids or teens.

I generally try to find one not too far back. I had to sit in the front when I went to see Avatar, the movie was good (but overrated), but the viewing experiance sucked.
