When was it deemed Emma Watson couldn't act?

I've always thought she's done pretty well from what I've seen in the Harry Potter movies, yet I keep seeing people complaining about how awful she is.

I think she is a fine actor. Perhaps not great, but whatever she is good at pulling Hermione off. Can't say I have seen anything else she has done.

her acting isnt anything special.

its sufficient for the harry potter films.

tbh I would need to see one of her other movies though, just to see how she acts outside of being Hermione

Never heard people saying she couldn't act, but she'll need to prove herself beyond the Harry Potter series if she is to be considered a good actress in the future.

She's still very young and inexperienced, so she has a way to go.

She was also fantastic in Changeling. Emma Watson is okay, nothing special overall. There are tons of better actresses than her. People love her because of her looks for the most part. She certainly isn't the best actress of the three Harry Potter kids. I personally think Rupert Grint is the best, and Daniel Radcliffe is okay too.

She was okay in the first two HP movies, but after that she starting acting solely with her eyebrows. Seriously, watch her eyebrows sometime. They're always furiously moving all over the place. It's incredibly distracting for me. I am serious about the eyebrows thing, but I'm sure that just sounds silly. Overall I think she has gotten worse. She was a great Hermione in the first two movies, but after that she just got really bad. She overacts like crazy. She's always shrieking and huffing and puffing. I just think she's way over-the-top.t3hrubikscube

I know what you mean about the eyebrows thing. They look like furry caterpillars having seizure. She hasnt proved she can act very well, and frankly I dont get why people find her so attractive.

I think she does a pretty decent job. there were some cringe-worthy bits here and there in some of the potter films, but really she's handled some pretty heavy scenes with some strong subtlety and facial control that most kids her age don't have.

And lets not talk about her looks. It's weird. She's a little rail of a prepubescent girl. It'd be like kissing some young awkward little boy on the playground.

I completely agree with yout3hrubikscube, the expressions are really over exaggerated and it doesn't make the character believable. She was fantastic in the first two films, but it went downhill from there.

Out of the Harry Potter trio, I'd say Rupert Grint is the best. He has amazing potential and I would love to see it explored (it already is, awaiting eagerly for Cherrybomb). But, when comparing her to Daniel Radcliffe, I'd say she's the better one, albeit not displaying any amazing talent.

I never liked the HP movies..but i've never heard anyone say Emma Watson was a bad actor...:x..i would say mediocre...not bad but not good..

Haha, but seriously though kate is my favourite female actress, I don't really like many female actresses because it seems alot of them get their roles through looks rather than actual acting ability.
