What's you're favorite/least Insects OT?

Some people like bugs, some people hate creepy crawlers. Yes there cool Insects in the world and just outright dangerous. But anyways, I only have a few Insects that I like to learn about and some are just, just not cool. My favorite is Spiders. Why, there smart, kill bugs for free, [really good for house pest control] and good Web builders. Spiders are unique in every way. Least favorite is Wasp. Let's just say that there just an asshole. So OT, what's you're favorite/least bugs?

I'm stated this in another thread, I find silverfish creepy as hell. Also centipedes.

Favourite, butterflies.

Least favourite, normal flies (without the butter =P)

@fenriz275: I think silverfish are cool, but I still don't like them in my house...those bastards eat paper and my wife is a harpist so there's A LOT of food for them in my house (sheet music)

I would say I hate cockroaches the most.

Personally, I find myself fascinated with all types of insects and arachnids.

I'll have to say mosquitoes are my least favourite though. They're one of the only lifeforms I'll willingly kill and not feel bad about it.

My favourite would probably be ants. I find them to be pretty interesting to watch, and are really quite complex in some ways.

@davillain-: sorry,I'm entomophobic,especially with cockroaches...cripes,every time I see one I always have the urge to kill every last one of it

Hmm... Heracross or Beedrill are my favourites... for least I'd have to go with Nincada :3

I kill em when I see em. Except for Ants and Butterflies. Everyone else gets the boot.

The pill bugs in A Bugs Life are good...

I like butterflies.

I hate most every other type of insect.

When i first purchased my home, i had these cockroaches in my garage. They were huge, the biggest i've ever seen. I called an exterminator, had them poisoned and never saw them again. Thank god, cause just the site of them makes me sick. I chopped one in half, and it still was alive ? WTF ?

To think the people eat these !

I always wondered why people find the concept of eating insects to be so disgusting. I can't see how that's any worse than eating shrimp, crabs, or oysters.

@MrGeezer: i don't think it's so much the eating insects but that people associate insects like roaches with dirty and disgusting places and think that that's where the ones people eat come from...I'm pretty sure people also wouldn't eat sewer shrimp =P

I can't say i have ever looked at an insect and said "i like looking at you".

Just "please , don't come near me".

I don't get the hate for wasps

I hate zionists. They're the worst insects.

Sometimes is mix between how you'll say it. I usually get confuse with bugs/insects like.

And I don't blame you. Bugs/Insects aren't for everyone to like.

Funny you should say that cause when I went to go see Ant-Man, I learn more about Ants in someways, there stronger then they look.

Cockroaches also creeps me out. I hate those guys.

I'm not really a fan of any bug.

But man, cockroaches are the worst. I have goosebumps just from thinking about them >_<

Favorite = Praying Mantis

Worst = Wasps (not bees), Wasps include Yellow Jackets, Hornets, and the classic Paper Wasps

By the way spiders are not insects.

I don't like any, especially wasps.

But even then, people eat oysters. Even freaking raw oysters. Which is nasty as hell, they're filter feeders and eat whatever biological crap just happens to be floating through the water. And you say that people wouldn't eat sewer shrimp, but even NORMAL shrimp and crabs sort of just sit on the sea bottom eating bits of feces and corpses.

@MrGeezer: You're not wrong but I think most people aren't really concerned with what their dinner ate before it got caught, but where it came from. If you tell them it comes "from the ocean" that's fine, they won't ask for details. Probably not the best course of action but I think that's normally the case.

Most favorite i guess are butterflies

least favorite are tarantulas, the ones that can be green or blue, bright colors.

I don't like any but know that some are necessary. Well, I do like butterfly's.

Least favorites.. Mosquitoes, flies, wasps, in general annoying flying shit :P And Spiders are not insects.

Just a question for you/anyone can answer:If a spider is not an insect,what is it really???

@brimmul777: Spiders are arachnids...they are so cool they have their own thing going on. I guess they are arthropods as well but so are insects.

Also depending on where you live, people around me always says Spiders are insects but I hardly hear anyone say there arachnids. I guess the term insect/bug is just another way to describing anything that's a creepy crawler is my best guess.

@davillain-: Yep, that does seem to be the case sometimes and for most part it's fine, I just had never heard people call spiders insects/bugs before :)

Favorite- Dragonfly, Firefly, Ladybug.

Least Favorite- Spiders(Only the big ones), Centipede, Wasps, Termites( Really really hate them. But they do make good fish baits though).

I despise all insects. The only exception is ladybug; I really love it and would have no problem putting it on my hand.

What did butterflies ever do to you? =(

Mosquitos and centipedes...especially House Centipedes. I don't mind Bees, wasps/yellow jackets, or hornets unless they nest in or around my house.
