What do you use the most, and what is your favorite ? Is it good to give one search engine all this power ? How much info do they keep of us ? If i do a search for a flashlight, i have like adds all over the place advertising the most powerful flashlights. How much info do they keep of what we search ? Kinda scares me sometimes ? I don't think my searches should say thats who i am, if thats the way they look at it.

I use the Googly, and i pretty much stick to it always. I just don't like the internet explorer much. I would luv suggestions though. I'll be checking out this thread to see hopefully other cool options, if any.

Been using Google for years and haven't looked back. I don't search for anything self-incriminating, so its data retention doesn't bother me too much. I hear a lot of talk about search engines such as DuckDuckGo, but I don't really see a need for it in my case.

Google why use anything else, other search engines never seem to give good enough results.

I hate them all. They always give me a local version of my search. Annoying as hell.

Google, the most common and frequent and efficient search engine to use these days. So far about the only other search engine I'm seeing that may be in second place for holding out on competition is Bing.

Google. Can't find anything better. Tried Yahoo for a bit b/c Firefox somehow made it the default search engine for the browser, hate it.

Google. In ancient times, Yahoo and Alta Vista.

I hate that Google won't give suggestions for some explicit terms.

May I suggest a re-phrasal of the title of this thread to suit this discussion a little better? How about "Why you don't use Google as a search engine?"

Google. All day, everyday. I don't really care what information they may retain from my searches.

Wasn't aware anything other than Google was worth using
