GoldenEye is really good from the Brosnan (sp?) era. From the oldies, i like From Russia with Love, License to Kill, Moonraker, and a lot of other ones i can't remember right now. Don't like any of the Sean Connery movies though, maybe because they are a little too old even when compared with the oldies. And GoldenEye for the N64 was probably one of my favourite games ever.
Die Another Day was horrible. The plot was all over the place and towards the end, the only way that the movie held on to it's audience was the use of the totally ridiculous gadgets. About an hour into the film, I was wishing that it would end soon.
I kinda agree, the last few Bond movies with Brosnan (or w.t.h. ever his name is) were not good and were reall cough-ups. Casino Royal was very good imo. Except the part kinda towards the end where 007 and the girl travel to Venice and all that kissing and hugging and show of affection, that was boring. The rest of it was good. No, wait, i didn't like the torture scene either.

casino royale was just a big budget action film - it didn't even feel like a bond film at all
The Man With the Golden Gun is such a dark horse when it comes to bond movies. If you have never seen a bond movie before I would recommend watching Goldfinger first. Maybe Doctor No, but it isn't as good. The best one is From Russia With Love. And Casino Royale is awesome.
