What you like on your Nachos

ITT we talk about nachos. What do you like on your nachos? There are people who put (shudder) MEAT on thier nachos. Ugh. It makes the chips all greasy and I can't stand it! Me? here's what I like:

Chips

Cheese

Picante sauce

Maybe a little refried beans? I dunno.

and that's IT. No lettuce, no onion, no tomato, and espeacily no MEAT. (unless it's chicken)

I understand that not all people on this forum are American and some don't like mexican food. Because it sucks everywhere else in the world.

Melted nacho cheese is the best, though picante sauce is good sometimes too.

They're made up Mexican food. Some tourists in mexico once upon a time wanted some real mexican food. The dude who was serving them only had tortillas and cheese. So he made the first nachos. So they were made for mexican tourists but aren't real mexican food. So yeah they are pretty American.

Chips, queso cheese sauce, shredded cheddar and pepper jack cheese, refried beans, seasoned ground beef/diced chicken or steak fajita meat,, salsa, jalapenos, sour cream, just a dab of guac (partially alergic to too much otherwise I'd love more). I think that's it unless someone has some better topings to add to the above.

Oh and I'm sure I speak for everybody here, every chip covered with an adequate amount of at least cheese if not everything else. I hate when you order nachos or cheese fries at a restaurant and after the first so many bites, you have an entire plate/skillet of just plain chips or fries uncovered by anything. It's a waste of half you pay for.
