Er if your the one that she was with and then she fell in love with someone else then its this simple. She loves you like a brother she loves the other like a lover attraction is more paramount and is more than likely falling for them in other ways. Love is an overused word it describes to much and hasn't got the scope to explain different forms of love. You simply cannot love 2 people the same way and usually its not possible to be fully in love with 2 individuals. Well in my experience.

Unfortunately, relationships and emotional relationships especially, cannot be ground down to specific black-and-white situations. The fact she went and pursued something with someone else (whether purposeful or not, since "love" can spring up without even wanting it to) suggests to me I may not be doing something right. It would hurt me more just to break it off than to reconcile any issues we might have. Even if that reconciliation ends with the termination of our relationship.
Been there, done that. Multiple times. With different girls. With each occasion, however, I came out the "winner" but with each occasion we eventually broke up anyway for non-related matters.

Get excited then look up all those girls who have hit on me over the course of our 2+ year relationship. Then get very annoyed when it turns out that every last one of them is not interested now I'm single. Then drink a lot and find a moderately priced hooker's pillow to cry on.
Honestly be thankful that her true colors have been shown. you don't want to be a with a girl who just goes and falls in love with other guy while she's in a relationship with someone else. you need someone who is going to be loyal to you.
