what should I do , console related problems and parents, I need advice

recently I have told my mom about the new psp coming out and she was asking why I would want one and she said dont you have a psp and I said yea so then she gose off say you dont need anymore handheld devices as far as gaming go's she rather have me buy the home console instead which is fine and dandy I even told her of all the good stuff added but she still doesn't get it the only reason she says this , she feels that home consoles are more worth it since I can play them on big screens and she says y would you want to play those games on a tiny screen . Also im not sure if this was off topic or general gaming.

i guess you could tell her that it will help u get out the house more. Moms always want their babys to be active. also tell her its cheaper then a ps3 that might apeal to her bank acount. Maybe you could trade in one of your hand helds to help lower the price and so she cant say you already have to many.

well in the end it's her money (I'm assuming) and she doesn't have to get you anything she doesn't want to. You might just have to wait this one out.

the thing about parents is they don't know s*** about video games. they think they're all the same. my mom and aunt saw me and my brother playing Mortal Kombat on xbox 360 and they were like "all the fighting games you guys have played are all the same, it's all the same thing" which of course isn't true, but i wouldn't expect them to know that.

You could always wait a few years and get a job. Then you can buy whatever console/portable you want.
