What books have you been reading as of late? Me, I'm currently on War and Peace. Great book. Almost halfway throughit and its almost been a week since I got it for christmas.

I tried reading it once. Though it was good, it didn't grab my attention the same way as The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, or The Children of Hurin. The Silmarillion. I only have about 144 pages left to read. The way the wording is I don't like it it's like Shakespeare.

The newest book of The Wheel of Time series (Book 13) "Towers of Midnight" by Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson.
It's moving a lot slower than I had anticipated. I'm hoping things will pick up soon.
Which other ones do you have in the backlog? Michel de Montaigne's "Friendship" Brian Greene's "Fabric of the Cosmos" Carl Sagan's "Contact" (read halfway but never finished) Robert Winder's "Bloody Foreigners" Judith Krantz's "Mistral's Daughter" Wole Soyinka's "Myth, Literature and the African World" to name a few... example of an unfortunate price paid for attending an IB school.[QUOTE="atm0073"]
Richard Feynman's "The Meaning of It All". Good, good stuff. And thank the heavens for winter break, and the free time it's given me to read at all. So many books in my literary backlog :?

Just starting on Full Dark, No Stars. Hopefully it's good. Stephen King usually has really good "short stories"Ace6301It's pretty damn solid. I really liked "1922".
How far are you in that?[QUOTE="dracula_16"]
The gospel of Luke.

Chapter 7. I intend to read the gospel of John after Luke.
Recently I've read Night which was excellent and Slaughterhouse Five which is now one of my favorite books ever. I'm not reading anything now but I'll read Earth by Jon Stewart once my brother finishes it.

Do you read the Bible from cover to cover? I'm currently in Malachai. I'll start Matthew tonight.No-- I started from the begginning of the New Testament and intend to read the rest of the New Testament. The only book in the Old Testament that I've read is Genesis, so when I finish reading the New Testament I'll start reading the books of Moses (and eventually the rest of the Old Testament).
I've actually been switching from book to book since I got my kindle. I finished "**** my Dad Says" in one sitting, then 36% of Under the Dome, 64% of The Lightning Thief, 10% of "The Year of Living Biblically", and 5% of "Are You There Vodka" before finally finishing both Under the Dome and The Lightning Thief a few days ago. Now I'm working my way through the other two:P
[QUOTE="sambo2011"]How is it compared to the other 2?I'm reading Jacinto's Remnant now.I am reading Anvil gate: Gears of war, pretty good like the past 2 other gear books

It's really good just like the other two and has a good gripping story line behind it all like before. I would of said that you was doing the right thing by reading the first 2 before it as characters are involved i.e. Bernie, but it also has some new characters in it. It well worth the read and is very enjoyable i must say.

Quite a bit actually. Just finished Full Night, No Stars by Stephen King and am currently reading Desperation, Boy's Life, Gone South, and Skeleton Crew. All fantastic books so far.
