What genre of music dominates your music collection?

Some of you guys know I'm into metalcore, but over half of my Ipod is variations of punk, and nearly a third of it is Alternative music.

What about you guys? It could be bought CDs, MP3s, etc.

Rock is about 80% of it.

Rock/Hard Rock/Metal.

Rock dominates pretty much. But I also have a lot of Alternative, Punk, and a tiny bit of Metal.

Seems to me after a quick browse on my Foobar, it's Trip-hop mainly.

Video game remixes, and other various techno songs, and such.

That's the dominant portion. Then I've got a bunch of classic rock, and such that I listen to.

Yeah pretty much this..

A third of it is rock( biggest contributors are King Crimson, Porcupine Tree, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine,The Cure, and Mew)

90% are many types of metal

The 10% remaining is Alice Cooper music.

Tons of Brit-rock (Muse, Franz Ferdinand, The Fratellis, etc). Also, lots of indie, and alternative. And the rare rap album.

I'd say about 90%+ of it is labeled "Alternative & Punk" (I keep things labeled as that, as thats what most of the CDs I add to my collection have that as thier genre).
Then the rest would be Metal, some Hip Hop/Rap and then some (mostly random songs that my siblings have downloaded) just labeled "Rock"

All Sub-Genders of Rock : Nu Metal , Punk , Alternative , etc....

Like modern rock? Or classic rock? Even then, you could probably narrow down a band past just rock. Most bands at least.

Rock (and variants that don't sound like rock but include it in the title I.E. post-rock and indie) is probably 70 percent of my music. Then 20 percent metal, and 10 of Hip-Hop and a few other genres.

There's a lot of mention about rock, but it's such a broad genre I wonder what you guys mean.
