I would imagine the one doing such comparisons is quite the simpleton. Either that or they're referring to them being a much less hot version of them, except in a nice way.

People are always saying I look like different celebrities... Johnny Depp, Clive Owen, Glenn Howerton, Taylor Lautner, etc. It's annoying because none of them really look alike. :P

John Cusack. Or rather, he looks like he could be a member of my family. So much so that I think he might be a lost uncle or something. I've had dozens of random people tell me that I look like him with lighter hair. I also get Ed Norton and James Van Der Beek quite a bit.
