Wouldn't be caught dead wearing one.
But I wouldn't judge someone else for wearing one; just not for me.
They used to be socially acceptable in the 90's, now they're kind of a joke haha.
And in the US fanny means one thing, but doesn't it mean something else in the UK? hahahaha
In Scotland a fanny has a different connotation, usually an insult.
Wearing these you get to insult yourself by default.
I mean, if you're wearing one I'll definitely notice. Usually hipsters with big beards can get away with it but...anyone else...idk!
No one can get away with it............no one.

Market traders, drug dealers and the vulnerable can get away with it.

They look like idiots.
@LJS9502_basic: Tools of the trade, my good man. They also supply a valuable service in pickpocket-tourist economics, effectively removing all that pesky "which pocket" guesswork.
Are they stylish for men and women? Do you wear one? I think they look pretty cool when worn over the chest, not so much over the waist. Im thinking of getting one in 2019 for carrying my portable console in, especially in theme parks so I can play something while waiting in line.
My Dad got one from Nike, I haven't seen him wear it yet.
They're definitely a function over fashion sort of thing. Why would you play video games at a theme park? Wouldn't you rather talk to people you're waiting in line with? Or are you going alone? And why would you go alone to a theme park? Walking around all day silently while riding rides is not much fun in my experience.
Its great for hiding things especially illegal things like drugs, handguns, knives, etc, all sorts of small illegal carries. I'm pretty sure that is what most people use it for. Also, its good way to store snacks.
@livingdeadman: No, I never heard about that. I don't know any skateboarders and never skateboarded.
I have a waterproof one that I take to amusement parks, kayaking, boating, and rafting. It's great for when you want to be able to be in the water and have to have your wallet/your phone/your family's phones on you, but you don't want it to keep you from fully enjoying those activities.

The orthopedic, diabetic, American white dad kit. Inhaler not included.
@uninspiredcup: Meanwhile here in Scandinavia, Fanny is a fairly popular girls name ?
I only knew one... Smokin hot though.

Practicality(is that even a word?) over how good something looks...

In Australia, fanny refers to a part of the female anatomy...
