Maybe that verse you posted comes off better when you actually hear it, but on paper, it is not that impressive (it's almost kind of cheesy TBH) and I'll take my mainstream Nas over it any day.

Always makes me giggle. Anyways never found rap lyrics particularly compelling. I don't hate rap or anything but the themes are typically juvenile and shallow/materialistic.

Immortal Technique is corny at times.

But "I jerk off in books and give life to words" is fuggin awesome. His first album is definitely his pinnacle.
