What are people's problem with goths?(lock Thread Please)

Why do people hate on Goths for stupid reasons? Like their "Their Clothes suck" or they are different so I must annoy them. Many also reckon people only be goths to rebel... It is idiotic. Looks at godhatesgoths.com a site purely based of fear. People who hate on person because of there fashion sense or their likes are completely stupid.

The goths I'm friends with are quite happy to beat up emos and call them dumb ****ies because they are dumb ****ies. True goth do exist, you are not searching the right places.

Maybe I don't like skirts which doesn't even go down to my ass and skimpy shirts. That's what "fashionable" in my area. Terrible stuff.

Maybe something less "skimpy", then.

I don't particularly like mallgoths. You know, those kids with their spiked, baggy black pants and Insane Clown Posse shirts they bought at Hot Topic, etc. the stereotypical kids who tend to be obnoxious and in your face about nothing when you ask them a simple question.

I don't hate the goth subculture really. People can dress however they want, but I think it looks silly.

Actually, some of the clothes they wear are in some of my lines of fashion in my closet. (yes I have a different clothing line set in sections in my closet) Well, except the pants, kinda wanted them when I was younger, not so much anymore. I don't even know any goths, so I don't hate them. :P

I don't hate goths for being goths, I just hate subcultures in general (especially ones in which fashion/appearance plays a big role). Quite a bit of the music I listen to can be classified as "goth" music or is popular among "goths", but I have no reason for purposefully labelling myself as one (or as anything else for that matter).

I don't hate them but anyone who makes themselves stand out like that is a bit odd in my book.

Because to be a goth you have to be non-conformist. Which of course means listening to the exact same music, wearing the exact same clothes, and doing the exact same thing as other goths. It's the most slef contradicting subculture I know of.johngebreadman
