Wanting to move to America......

Hey,

Today I have been having a long thought about what I want to do with my life and where I want to be....I have my heart set on living in America and I am trying to convince my mother to come with me if I do move...I am only 15 but it would be me and a mate moving out the country (UK) to make a new and fresh start to life.

What do you guys think?

I know I am possibly too young to think about moving but I convinced my mum to say "If you do well in collage I will think about it..."

Well, I am going to assume that youre smart enough to know youre too young to move to the US. So listen to your mom, if you do well in college then move to the US.

Better yet, go to college in the US! Seriously, I am sure the UK has some good programs for studying abroad. Might I suggest California? We have some of the best colleges in the country, and a lot of diversity.

Anyway, good luck with your dream. Its kind of funny because I've always wanted to move to the UK...I loved Oxford.

I think you should think and plan this carefully... maybe do 6th form college before moving. Apart from that, go for it :D

id reccomend coming to my homeland, but dont eat too much fast food :p, if you go to college here you can get as respectectable a degree as in the uk

If you can get a good job set up...then come. Otherwise, unless it's bleak jobwise where you are....I'd stay.

Well, it does have one of the largest gay populations in the country, though that shouldn't be a problem. Other places I'd like to suggest to you, if you decide to come, are New York City, Boston and Chicago.

yeah it made me think about moving to America when Cassie did it. I think at 15 you are a bit too young to be making that decision, when I was 15 I was certain that I would be going to uni and become a software developer, now I'm 18 I've decided that I'm not going to go to uni, my friend has started a film company and we will soon start shooting a series of sketch shows and we are going to see how far we can get with that. If you still really want to do it after college though then go ahead. I also agree with mrbojangles25, go to uni in America after you have done your A levels or what ever you plan on doing, it would be a good way to go.

I'm not sure asking in OT is a great place. I don't think some of the folks in OT have even crossed the street yet let alone traveled much in the U.S. ;)
