I think Alice in Chains are very underrated. I hear so much emotion whenever I listen to them. Especially Layne Staley's voice. Its Haunting. They're just an overall amazing band. May Layne Staley R.I.P.. I dont think they should have got back together. Its just not going to be the same without layne staley. What are some bands that you think are underrated?airg6Team Sleep.
The Streets, definately. Best lyricist since Dylan.clembo1990Please tell me you're kidding. Most underrated band? In my opinion Scratch Acid.
[QUOTE="Guppy507"]Nickelback....GTR2addictis this sarcasm or do you mean it?
Of course it's sarcasm just look at his sig.
I'm going to say Gallows because nobody else ever mentions them in any topic so I guess they fit the bill.
basically any good Metal band. There are few metal bands that are amazing AND in the mainstream. but then again, mainstream tends to kill the music, so it's better off that way.GTsFrieza
I was just going to say that metal usually doesn't go hand in hand with radio. An even when it does it tends to be some of the softer pieces (they can still be loud just not too much) from metal bands.

Yeah, I think the heaviest I've heard on the radio is a song from old Metallica. but even that is rare, it's usually their Black album and forward songs that are played on the radio (and that supports the radio not playing good metal songs haha). I doubt we'll ever hear Bloodbath, Cynic, or Exodus on the radio, but that's part of what makes Metal unique. The fans are really dedicated to it because of the music, not because it's popular.
ARCTIC MONKEYS KICK ASSInterpol. I can't think of a single thing wrong with that band.
I'd also say Muse, Arctic Monkeys, or The Fratellis, but as I understand it those are only underrated here in the US.

[QUOTE="Avistann"]Anything that is not known by the mainstream crowd. I mean the bands that are still trying to slide past each day by making there band big. The local bands and such.harashawnHow can a band be underrated if no one has heard of it? Touche my good sir *Sneaks out quietly*
I'm a fan of Linkin Park, but I think that Trapt as a similar band is underrated.Crimsonia
Trapt is anything but under-rated.
I think that Placebo is pretty under-rated. (In America atleast.)
Animal Collective are huge now. They've already sold out a decent size venue in Detroit, and the show isn't until may. You can't find a music criticism outlet that isn't going to say that the new record is the best thing that's going to happen all year. Not underrated at all.Radiohead.
...But seriously, Animal Collective should get more attention than they do. Sure, they've got a nice cult fan base, but I really think more people should know them better after being around for like 10 years.
