I prefer stupid youth, that means it will be easier to succeed for the smart ones.

In all seriousness though, they are going to destroy the country.

sonicare

That's a very wise statement.

For thousands of years, the older generation has always lamented the younger generation's changes.

-

Personally, I embrace the ever-changing youth culture and the newest fads.

As our society is in constant flux, it's silly to keep around outdated technology and antiquated ideals.

-

For example, the thought of cable television in 2012 just seems so incredibly backwards.

Besides many of them being dumber than a bag of dirt (which isn't a generational thing), emotional instability, being too obsessed with garbage like facebook and fake popularity, etc.

That's not my problem. I am talking about the music. The lyrics is not the problem. Just listen to this wonderful piece of music. And hopefully you can hear the lyrics if you speak German:

Mozart is telling Goethe to kiss his ass lol! And what a wonderful canon.

Personally, I despise Nicki's song, and I'm quite open to all types of music.

But I'm sure the 18th century had their Nicki Minaj equivalents, even if they were just street performers...they just probably weren't notable enough to be preserved throughout the centuries.

Kids these days have no respect. When I was driving this morning a bunch of wanna be gangsters pulled up next to me in their beat up ricer, revving the sh!t out of their engine at the stop light blasting rap music. They pulled out of the intersection like they were being chased by cops and cut off an old lady. I just don't understand what this world has come to.

Not sure what pointing out the alternatives was suppose to do, but maybe if we kept watching the videos to hate on them, and just ignored them, or just hated on them through discussions, then they won't get "as" popular. Would've been simple enough to just say: -Mozart -Niki Minaj See? lol.

I really do think the same kind of cl@ssical talent exists today...it's just under-recognized.

Cl@ssical music just doesn't have the same resonance to the public as it did 300 years ago, as there are just so many more options today, and the social stigma of listening to lewd music has largely disappeared.

Today, music has no boundaries.

Every generation looks down on the youth...and why not. My generation is a bunch of lazy **** compared to the previous but we're sure as hell better off than these junior high wearing mini skirts looking like sluts, killing themselves over facebook and bullying, dumb as rocks, unappreciative with excess self-worth, bunch of douchebags.

People will keep getting dumber and dumber as long as technology keeps babying us, and it's unfortunate because technology makes is easier for us to have access to knowledge.

But like always not everyone is bad and change is good, I would also say the old farts in the whitehouse need to move on with their old ways of thinking.

No you are wrong the classical music today sucks really hard. It sounds like babies bashing on a piano. And in any case the point is that people today are not listening to it. They're too busy trying to be like snookie or whatever people do these days.

I guess your right there lol. I just hate it when people get annoyed with how popular videos get, when they contributed to commenting on one of the videos by stating how much they hate it. Pretty sad really lol. Also wanted to say that I have loved classical music since I was very young. Shows like Courage the Cowardly Dog kept that love alive.

I've always found classical music to avoid the core "essence" of music, whatever that means.

It's absolutely gorgeous music, but it never reflects the elements of the human experience.

Classical music is like music for gods...not for humans.

It's hard to relate to.

-

That's probably the reason for the sharp rise in more "real" music styles throughout the past 100 years.

People are not listening to it because it doesn't reflect them properly.

Pretty much this. Its a sign that you're a mature adult when you begin to despise the younger gen.

I havn't yet given up hope on the young so I guess that means that I'm still young.

I'm not sure when I completely gave up on today's generation, but I did slowly get annoyed by the music that was coming out at the time when all I could listen to in school and on the bus was rap and pop music after about 4th grade, since certain numbers of kids pretty much "controlled" what music was playing (not to mention we couldn't listen to MP3 players and what not. Though I didn't get one until maybe 7th grade anyway). Was one of the reasons why I loved having hair that went over my ears because I could cover up my ear buds, so I could listen to my music when I wanted (until someone was talking to me of course lol).
