So that happened...

Long story short, guy put in charge of game security stole pieces and gave them to people which in turn became a huge ring stealing around 25 million dollars from McDonald's.

This isn't knew knowledge, is it? I could have sworn I read about this a long time ago.

In any case, you never would have gotten a Boardwalk piece anyway. If they weren't already rare then it probably wouldn't have made sense to start a crime ring based on stealing the pieces.

Perhaps. I never knew about it, though. And several sites were reporting about it like it was just discovered. And well, if you were in charge of game pieces, you could probably steal them knowing where and when they were printed.

My family always assumed it was a piece that was rare to begin with. Never would have figured there was a criminal ring involved as well!
