tonight, and tonight only, there will be a special event with the moon.....it will be 21 miles closer to earht, therefore having a "super" or bigger apperance...this is the first super moon since 1993

Photographers and Astronomers would be interested.That's cool, but I personally don't see a slightly larger moon is so cool, I guess because it's such a rare event or something, but I don't really see what's so exciting.

Hacks! It's only 5:30pm here :PI'm looking at it right now. It doesn't look noticably bigger than usual, but it is indeed VERY bright.
In fact it's so bright that it produces a lens flare when photographed.

it's 11:30 pm here in europe already.
Quick snap I took of the supermoon earlier. Photoshop isn't working so had to edit using Photobucket *shudders*. Wish I lived out in the country with nice scenery, not houses and street lights which I had to frame out :L
