Ok light is an energy, and as we all know energy is neither created nor destroyed simply converted, so if you stand in a fully reflective room, shine a flashlight, turn it off the light energy should just bounce off the floors and thus creating perpetual light, comments?

Light is absorbed as it hits your eyes giving you vision. simply by viewing the room, the light would disappear.

The energy is then converted to quantum which explodes the room into millions of chunks.

yes, but the light energy that was converted simply doesnt dissappear and the mirrors reflect those energy and thus giving a perpetually lit room, it makes sense if you think about it

Think about it. If light is absorbed, you gain energy. Meaning, staring at the sun = six abs.

Scientific theories generally involve real world applications, and because in the real world our mirrors are not 100% perfect, your plan would fail IRL.

However yes, in a world with perfect mirrors, it would work.

In theory it would work and therefore my theory is correct. Real world practical applications are not mentioned in my theory

There was a hypothesis about how the insides of the Pyramids were lighted, since there isn't enough oxygen for torches. They considered mirrors, but that didn't work because as others here have mentioned, the light dissipates bit by bit with each reflection.

ignoring the reality of newtonian physics as well as quantumn mechanics. then sure.

its only a proper theory for anyone without a working knowledge of physics

Perhaps, if you could construct a purely reflective surface. But almost any material would absorb some fraction of the light.

Light is both energy and matter. And energy can be created/destroyed in quantum mechanics. Also, black holes. This sounds like one of those "thought-problems" one ponders when they are intoxicated with a mind-altering substance.

Light is a quantum particle, with quanta the act of measuring alters the result so you could theoretically create perpetual light (photons do not decay over time) however it would be imposible to measure it. tl;dr Troll physics only works if you have a correct theory and then apply the correct theory incorrectly

Read: Newton's Law.

Newton's law is out dated, quantum physics is completely different, particles and energy appear and disappear all the time. Quantum theory also states that some of the light would escape the box as you can only state the location of quanta by probability.

He already told you to read Quantum Physics and Einstein's Theory. I think that was his way of leading you to finding the proof yourself. Though, I don't want to speak to his exact intentions.

I believe that his comment was directed at "HailedJohnDman" as thats who he was quoting. I've never heard of Black holes destroying things, only absorbing light.

Matter is also energy, slower vibrating. Energy doesn't get destroyed, only transferred to differentiating densities.

I thought everything a black hole "devours" eventually gets released as Hawking radiation.
