The X-Men and Spider-Man movie franchises are ruined

Does anyone else agree that the new X-Men: First Class and The Amazing Spider-Man will be terrible?

I for one wish that they would have continued on with X-Men 4. Also, Spider-Man 4 was supposed to be the next Spider-Man but due to financial reasons, they decided on a reboot. I was hoping to see Dr. Connors as the Lizard in Spider-Man 4 as it was set up to be, including a revenge return of Venom.

Does anyone else hate the idea of starting over with Spider-Man, including the terrible cast for it?

I know its called Amazing Spider-man, but I've heard it is more based on the Ultimate series, is that true? I hope so, I've just started them, but I really like it so far.

I thought X-men first class was still in the canon of the first few movies, just like X-men origins:wolverine was.

Spiderman on the otherhand is definitely a reboot. While I too would have preferred a Spiderman 4, I can understand why the studio decided to do a reboot(although I think its WAY too soon)

To me the new Spiderman looks wayyyy better. To be honest it looks more like Spiderman. I didn't really like the first 3 Spiderman movies and Spiderman is my favorite super hero.

Honestly, I'm getting sick of these superhero movies. Too many are coming out. Then again, it's not like I have to watch them...flipin_jackass

Spider-Man 3 had it's good moments but it was way too cluttered with villains. and they screwed up Venom.

As far s First Class and the Spider-Man reboot go. I have more hope in Spider-Man.

Also. this year i'm only seeing 3 super hero movies in theaters. Thor (which was good, and i'm not even a fan of Thor), Green Lantern (second favorite DC hero, after Batman), and Captain America.

personally i'm most excited for Captain America, more so because i know roughly story they're doing for the movie, and it's one of my favorite stories about Captain America.

I cannot wait for Avengers, and Dark Knight Rises though.

i don't think he meant by year, he meant in general and i agree. we've had spiderman, thor, daredevil, x-men, wolverine, batman, superman, hulk, ironman, green lantern, ghost rider, cat woman, elektra and fantastic four movies in just past 5-8 years and most of them have all had multple sequels. if that's not overkill i don't know what is.

Superhero movies are cash cows. Hollywood would be insane not to milk them, even if that means ruining them.

And yes, I think most of them suck.

X-Men was already ruined but First Class looks great. I hope it better then Last Stand and Wolverine. Same could be say to Spiderman but there has been much shown of the new one.

superhero movies are definetely having a major suck factor thsi year.. like show of hands who enjoyed thor? to me it seems like a pointless movie that should never have seen the light of day.. the script writer should be shot and the camera guys should be decimate for failure in their duty to get good shots..

i could do better with a big enough budget and a abdn of high school kids with camcorders!!!

I don't see how First C|ass is so terrible....but yeah, Spider-Man is ruined in both comics and movies...

X-Men looks really good and that Garfield guy was the perfect choice for Peter Parker so i guess it cant be worst than the others Spider man movies and that horrible actor playing spider man.Spiderman 2 and 3 were garbage, im glad that they are reeboting and not doing a 4th one.Drakes_Fortune
